Hi all,

G7DNT / MB7IIP-L

Only installed my Node last week and its hard disk crashed due to its age so
a new disk installed and a new install completed. I have now updated all my
details on the ALL STAR new site and my ID now shows green on the new site
but unable to logon to any ALL STAR NODES. My IRLP and Echolink parts are
working. I have removed the A prefix on the line that had A2498 now denotes
2498 only.

As I am 1 week into a learning stage any help would be great

Many thanks

Keith Handscombe

I'm new to AllStar and I just got a URI from DMK. I hooked it up to my
ICOM FR-4000 repeater. I can key up the repeater with "radio key"
command. I used "rpt fun <mynode#> *81" it keys OK but no audio. Also,
when I key up the repeater I never hear a CW ID so I'm not sure if the
COS is working. My repeater manual says for COS: "Busy Out, Open
collector=OFF, 0 V=ON".

Any ideas?

Tnx 73 Greg

Jim got out of the hospital this afternoon and is back home.

--

Regarding the transition....

Please continue to refrain from logging in to allstarlink.org or requesting
any new user accounts, servers, or nodes.
[it needs to remain static for now]

allstarlink.org is now accepting registrations from nodes. Please *DO* make
the change to iax.conf to remove the A from
left side of the node number in ALL register statements going to
register.allstarlink.org.

nodes1.allstarlink.org and nodes2.allstarlink.org satellite servers now
sending correct registration info.
nodes3.allstarlink.org needs more work to get going.

Hi every body, I made the registration "A" change on 2249 and 2417. At
that point I could not connect to other nodes nor these 2 nodes could
not connect to each other.

Just to let you know Steve. I changed them back and now I can connect to
the nodes we have here locally. These nodes are not yet migrated to the
new portal system.

I guess they are working from the node flat tile for lookups for the
moment, which I know is stale info but the nodes we normally connect to
here are not changing their IPs on a regular basis so for the moment its
not a problem.

I did not try to connect to other nodes that might have made the change
and are registered with the new portal so I cant confirm that might have
worked.

I do realize that things are in the middle of transition so we will
leave our nodes as is until the dust settles, then we will get on with
the updates.

Glad to hear Jim is on th mend!

Well, all of the facilities (expect outbound autopatch, which I have not
deal with as of yet)
seem to be working on the new system.

Please go ahead and sign up, get your servers set up and migrate your nodes.

There may still be some things that I havent yet found, but everything seems
to be
working now.

I would like to move nodes from one server to another. I don't see any way
to do that right now.

Any ideas?

Thanks & 73 de

First off - I'm impressed - VERY impressed. This is a slick very well
though-out system. This has certainly paved the way to pull (further)
away from the VoIP pack.

So, how does one go about moving nodes between servers when (as I have)
a node is put on the wrong server ?? or even at some point (once I get
my act together) if a node needs to be moved/added/separated from a server.

We recognize this, and decided it would be a manual request. Send an email
to Jim and provide node number and servers.
