That's not what I was asking for. Before the domain name change I was able
to use SVN directly to update my local copy of the sources. It makes it very
easy to automatically update a node to the latest development release.

extract the files under Linux, not windows.
If you unzip it under Windows, the permissions will all get trashed when you
WinSCP it over to the Linux machine
