Get all these to match: 1. MX record you are publishing already OK 2. Forward host lookup (mail.qrvc.com) already OK 3. And reverse lookup (pointer) for IP should be mail.qrvc.com *need fix* Since you seem to be using the same IP for multiple uses.. Would probably be best to set the MX to "qrvc.com" as to not cosmetically mess with anything else you might have in place. Thanks for that Jim. I'll look up the relevant rule, as I don't believe it needs to be announced on air, but a generic autopatch enabled message would be useful on air. In any case, chances are a different message would be appropriate on the air and over the phone at the same time. In any case, it means I can run a legitimate autopatch or reverse autopatch easily. I have a spare landline number too that could be used for incoming calls, and I also have a suitable PCI card somewhere. >You know, even though its not a requirement here in the USA, its not a bad >idea to use this feature to avoid potential embarrassment and/or potentially >jeopardizing ones license. This is as small as it can be, but don't expect anything shorter than 100 mSec or so due to processing overhead and latencies in asterisk. BTW: I encourage everyone with questions such as these to at least try and see if they can get the answer by searching the app_rpt.c code with a text editor to see if they can arrive at the answer to their question. Sometimes you can figure it out even if you don't know much C due to comments and other clues in the source. What good is open source if you don't take advantage of it? All ACID and Limey Linux nodes have the source code loaded on them. The source file app_rpt.c is located in /usr/src/asterisk/apps on these systems. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: I searched the archives (& google) for an answer to this. I've tried everything I can on this end (other than replacing the router). Anyone else have any insight? I have two Asterisk servers running app_rpt, each with it's own node #. One of them I have default port forwarding 4569 to the pc ip. Everything works great! The other I set up with different ip, and used port forward ?(4563) to it's ip. I then set my iax.conf to append the non-standard port to the registration statement as follows; register=Anodenum:password:4563 at register.allstarlink.org I then checked the /var/lib/asterisk/rpt_extnodes to see if my non-standard port is listed, but even after 24 hours it still shows 4569. I tried bindport=4563 to no avail. I also tried bindaddr=0.0.0.0:4563 I also tried bindaddr=192.168.1.106:4563 Is it a manual thing the allstarlink sysops have to do? Is it possible to have multiple asterisk pc's behind a single ?WAN ip - with port forwarding? Thanks! Registration will automatically pick up that it's running on a port other than 4569. The following line is what you want to change #define IAX_DEFAULT_PORTNO 4569 You can't just rely on juggling ports via your NATrouter.
