Hi,

I run the DMK dongles but I wanted a cheap one just to hang a scanner off
and as it didn't require PTT etc no modifications are needed to just pipe
the audio.

So I thought I'd give one of these a go off eBay for AUD$7.48 incl postage.

Here is my LSUSB.

Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0c45:6270 Microdia PC Camera (SN9C201 +
MI0360/MT9V011 or MI0360SOC/MT9V111) U-CAM PC Camera NE878, Whitcom WHC017,
...
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Two are the real deal (DMK) and the third comes up the same so I assume it
is the correct chip also?

I haven't cracked the case open as I have no need to. However the case is a
translucent black and you can see clearly inside with a torch that it has a
proper square chip with legs (No blob).

I haven't got it going yet as I'm not sure about some of the config side of
things but when I do I'll let you's know if and how well it works.

I also hope to get a couple more DMK dongles when funds allow to add HF and
Full dupe V/UHF dual band nodes.

Anyhow I thought I'd share this source of C-Media dongles as there seems to
be a lot of interest on where to get them from in the mailing list lately.
