I use an IDE to CF adaptor, with a 4GB CF card. I tried a 2GB, but that was not large enough for the build, lots of errors. I have been running this my box for the local club for over a year without any problems. Less moving parts also. This method is cheaper than the SSD drives on the market, about $30 is what I spent.
