[App_rpt-users] Voice Mail features of Asterisk

Is it possible to use the voice mail features built into Asterisk for canned system announcements? I want to announce the various nets and meetings on the repeater.  I would also like to use the vm feature for someone to call in and leave me a message. Am I doing some big time wishful thinking or is this possible!!
