[App_rpt-users] choppy audio from the portal user

Hi!
I am putting a node for my club repeater that will connect on both echolink and allstar.
I am in the process of testing all this, and I come into some problem.
Mu net controler want to connect by the portal so we could have less delay for his operation (he cant connect from echolink cause he cant configure the firewall where he connect).
But after some transmission we cant hear him anymore cause his audio is all choppy. he need to disconnect and reconnect..
anyone seen this behavior?
