This is totally incorrect. Linux is installed, and in regular use, on Macs all over the world. In fact OS X is essentially a Unix-based OS with a GUI. In fact, open up the program Terminal that comes with OS X. You are now in a command line Unix environment. In OS X, though,  there are constraints, so those that want more install Linux or other distributions.

I bet ACID would work. The Mac is very flexible.
