[App_rpt-users] error starting asterisk on acid

I am sure someone has had this before,  and i am sure its documented
somewhere in the archives but not able to find it..

error i get is
/USR/SBIN/SAFE_ASTERISK:LINE 125: 2370 sEGMENTATION FAULT (CORE
DUMPED) NICE -N $PRIORITY ${ASTBINDIR}/ASTERISK -F      and the error
goes .,...

Could some one tell me if its the computer just hosed and  I need to
do a re install of everything or just get a new computer   or??????
