[App_rpt-users] Trimble SVeeEight GPS to RTCM

Hmm interesting thanks for the info yes I would use the Garmin but I have 25
of these Trimble units that I would hate not to be able to use them I wonder
if there is anything in the TRCM that could be tuned to enable the 10
microsecond pulse?

Thanks for your response.

For just one site I am using a different GPS that also has this 10
microsecond pulse issue. I have tried a couple of different circuits to fix
it. I first built a circuit using 2 transistors and that worked sometimes.
Then I built a 555 circuit and that worked better but still not perfect. I
am still experimenting with both hardware and software to improve the
results. The biggest problem is with power cycle restart, it is almost
always 1 second off. Then I do a telnet session to reboot the voter and it
sometimes syncs up with the correct time. Once I get it synced it stays
synced for months, till the next power interruption reboot, then the voter
will be 1 second off again. All of my other sites use the Garmin GPS and
they almost always start up fine with both power up and software reboot.

I have verified that the GPS itself is always exactly accurate, it is just
the Voter syncs one second off.

We are trying to interface a Trimble-SVeeEight-Plus to the RTCM. I am
running the S/W Version: 1.38 10/09/2013 on the RTCM and I am seeing the GPS
info listed below in Debug mode 32 but I think I may be having issues with
the PPS. The Trimble indicates that it has a 10 microseconds negative going
pulse I noticed that the Garmin GPS 78X LVC has a default pulse width of 100
milliseconds. I am wondering if the Trimble is too fast for the RTCM.. is
this going to be a problem?? It appears that I cannot adjust the pulse width
on the SVeeEight as its grayed out.. any ideas. Your help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks Gary Kc5daq..

The 1PPS signal is an open collector interface on pin 9 of Ports 1 and 2.
The polarity of the

PPS signal is an inverted, 10 microseconds negative going pulse with the
falling edge synchronized to

UTC
