[App_rpt-users] playing audio files

Here's a link to a ZIP file containing a script to play audio files.

It consults a "library" file to see what files are available. Then picks one randomly (OK PSEUDO randomly).
Then checks to see if the channel is busy. If it is, the script doesn't play. If it's idle it plays the file.

Also some basic logging, and some support for a weather alert script that I wrote.

The ZIP contains the script, and all the current supporting files in use on my repeater.

Sorry, no README for now.........

Does asterisk support a playlist?

I want to play random announcements out on the repeater, and those
linked, at various times of the day.

These files do not have to play in any order (and, they'd get old and
predictable, anyway). The easiest way, I think, would be a playlist,
then set a crontab for the command.

Is there a way to implement such a command as:

$> asterisk -rx "rpt playback [node] path/to/filename.pl"

??

How would you do something like this?
