We do have numbers on the fobs, anyway. Page 22 of the cm108 datasheet,
and page 29 of the cm119 sheet, both show an absolute maximum rating of
70mA. There's usually an off-chip LED on the fobs, so adding say 10-20mA
for that, and then accounting for random little consumptions by other
parts, planning for 100mA for each fob seems safe.
Unfortunately, I can't help with numbers on the URIx requirements; I hope
someone else can.
Powered USB hubs vary widely, as I think we've all seen, in both per-port
and total current available. And as others point out, it's often down to
trial and error. If you find a great one with reliable numbers, I hope
you'll report back.
