Yes. The duplexor is like a tx/rx switch. If the PA is between the duplexor
and the antenna, then you won't be able to receive because the signal from
the antenna won't pass through the PA in reverse.

Is there any reason why the power amp cannot be placed between the duplexor
and antenna? My repeater will be 2 modular 1 watt radio modules, a 20W
capable 6 cavity duplexor and a Mirage power amp.If the amp is after the
duplexor then cool, if not then a more expensive duplexor will be
required...
