[App_rpt-users] No courtesy tone from IAX2 client ?

I didn't really understand how courtesy work yet. I found that :

It talks about 4  telemetry "channels" : local, gui, phone and echolink.

But I do not understand how to specify in what  channel an extension is. 
My Zoiper client is a phone. Can I put it in the "phone" signaling 
channel ? And I assume "GUI" is for Windows IaxRpt software ? But my 
Zoiper is also connecting in IAX. Shouldn't it be the same ?
