Hi there. I'm looking at creating an all star node that would be used by
radio amateurs via a GSM based connection to a connected node.
In short, we have a number of users (growing all the time ) that use what
looks like a radio, but is actually a ptt handset that connects to a server
via the GSM network. Currently we run a UK Hub group between us, with
operators all over the UK able to join and chat etc.
I am now looking at creating a separate talk group with an allstar enabled
node on it, and as such thought I'd drop you a line.
In short, I have the equipment to do this (node box and a raspberry pi) but
have currently made no attempts to seek a connection to the allstar network,
ideally to connect to the UK hub (it's been tested using teamspeak only and
works just fine).
My question is, how do I go about becoming a working node? I've registered
on the group as a user, but was unsure exactly how to proceed next and would
be great full for any help you can offer.
Additionally, do you know of any users that currently operate a teamspeak 3
to allstar connection ?
Yours,
Gareth M6IGJ/KJ4VNF.
