That's not the problem.

The problem is when building larger systems, price and complexity gets 
out of order by a large magnitude.

Re-do the maths on a three-repeater system with four remote voting 
sites.  Also take a look at how long you are going to be sitting at the 
workshop bench stuffing boards.

USB sound cards are three bucks each, plus the RPI3 I/O and you are 
DONE, at under a tenth of the price and it all just plugs in - you get 
to immediately work on the interesting bits rather than soldering.

If chan_urd will go, you now have quite a nice voting system and xippr 
has already done the software for you.
