One of the things I love about open source code is that I can try to 
compile and build it for other platforms.

I currently run app-rpt/Asterisk on a Google Compute cloud platform as a 
hub. Previously I ran it on Amazon AWS. Both are virtualized cloud 
services. If it weren't because I have access to the source code, I 
could not build/install in those environments.

As for the HamVOIP "code", it is useless for me because I have no source 
code. I can only run it on a Raspbery Pi image they provide. Just like 
IRLP, you are locked in to a specific platform. And I like building my 
own custom images.

Back to compiling for the ASUS Tinkerboard...
