[App_rpt-users] No audio output with chan_simpleusb

I've been bashing my head off this for a few days now and I'm hoping
someone here might be able to help. I'm not new to Asterisk and am
very good with Linux but I can't figure out what's going on here.

I've setup ASL and built a cm108 usb fob with COS and PTT for a
simplex node. Radio->ASL works great. The audio is clear and it can
decode DTMF. ASL->Radio doesn't work. Even when connecting headphones
directly to the fob I do not hear any audio in either channel.

The strange bit is that PTT and audio both work if I choose (F)lash in
simpleusb-tune-menu. My radio transmits the test tones just fine.
Audio also comes through if I shut down Asterisk and play a couple
.wav files through the fob using aplay while manually holding PTT.

For some reason ASL just won't send audio out through my device. I'm
stumped. Any/all suggestions welcome!
