It is true, you can access the community forum as a mailing list.  I am
doing it right now.  I had to hunt a little for the settings, but once
you know where to find it, it's pretty straightforward.  I've sent some
test messages through the list and it all seems to be working.  I
haven't yet looked at my email posts on the forum, but Tim did reply to
me. :)
