I got confused on your last message. Ingnore the part avout 'svcfg'. 'svastbin' creates the astbin.tgz file and puts it in /root:

#!/bin/bash
KVERS=`uname -r`
(cd /; tar cvzf /root/astbin.tgz /lib/modules/${KVERS}/misc \
/usr/lib/libtonezone* /usr/lib/libpri* /usr/lib/asterisk \
/usr/sbin/asterisk /sbin/ztcfg /var/lib/asterisk /dev/zap )

To properly save astbin.tgz, one additional step is required:

You need to mount /mnt/cf and copy the file there after svastbin completes. This will save the current binaries and sound files for you. Normally issuing 'make upgrade' from /usr/src does this for you automatically when you update the source code, but it has to be done manually when you are just updating the sound files.

Steve
WA6ZFT

That makes sense.
