George,<br>
Thanks for your insightful help! Your last question <font size="2"
face="Arial">"What do you have duplex set to in rpt.conf?" hit the
nail on the head! </font>rpt.conf defaults to duplex=2 unless
explicitly stated otherwise. The default rpt.conf file as provided
with the ACID install does not have duplex stated. The duplex
statement appears to have a need to be located in the correct part
of rpt.conf as well. I tried it in a couple of locations in the
file and things did not work right, but when I located as shown
below things started to work for me with iaxRPT receive audio.<br>
<tt>[28174] ; Change this to your
assigned node number<br>

rxchannel = Radio/usb ; Rx audio/signalling

etxgain=3 ; Echolink transmit gain

; Note: Gain is in
db-volts (20logVI/VO)<br>
duplex = 0 ; (Optional) set duplex
operating mode<br>
;; 0 = half duplex (telemetry and courtesy tones do not transmit)<br>
;; 1 = semi-half duplex (telemetry and courtesy tones transmit,
but not<br>
;; repeated audio<br>
;; 2 = normal full-duplex mode (Default)<br>
;; 3 = full-duplex mode, without repeated audio from main input
source<br>
;; 4 - Normal except no main repeat audio during autopatch only<br>
</tt><br>
You can probably see from the terminal output below that things are
looking up for node 28174. Thanks for taking the time to teach.<br>
