I was at fry's yesterday and pick up a SIIG CE-S00012-S2 sound adapter.
http://www.siig.com/usb-soundwave-7-1.html
Its base on the CM102 chipset.

Has anyone converted this adapter ?
If so, did it work ?
and would you please share your notes, parts list and wiring specs.

Thanks for your help....
What do you hope to do with it? It has audio output only, no audio input.

The CM102 does have one GPIO pin. Perhaps it can be used for PTT.
You can find the datasheet here:
Ron,

I don't know about voice mail, but you can use the Tail Message
function to play
canned announcements. Goes in the [Node] stanza:

;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Audio files can be played for weather warnings,
; to announce club meetings, etc.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
;
; Audio file(s) to be played as a tail message. If there
; is more than one file listed, separate files with a comma
; and the files will be rotated. File extension should be
; omitted. If no path is specified, the files should be
; located in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds.
;
; Example: tailmessagelist=file1,file2,file3
;
tailmessagelist=/kh2d/node-announce
;
; Time, in miliseconds, between tail messages
; 900000 = 15 minutes.
;
tailmessagetime=3600000
;
; If a user transmits during the tail message, a shorter
; interval can be set to replay the message (miliseconds).
; 300000 = 5 minutes
;
tailsquashedtime=900000
;
;
