If you check allstarnode.com there is a article about the weather script under the xipar section. It explains how to make the file play.

I have a Question for anyone who might be able to help. I'm not sure
how many folks are using this. I've set up the weather alert script on
two boxes and it seems to download the alerts just fine but when I run
it from the cron job in webmin I see this error:

getWxAlert: New Wx Alerts for COC043

getWxAlert: Get Wx Alert INFO for COC043: WARNING

getWxAlert: Get Wx Alert INFO for COC043: ADVISORY

getWxAlert: Launching playWxAlertBg...

/var/lib/asterisk/Weather/getWxAlert: line 316: /playWxAlertBg: No such
file or directory

So it never really puts the alerts out over the air automatically.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you,
Is there a way to setup my node(s) to register a DNS name to the ASL
server rather than an IP? I'm finding my ISP changes my IP radically
(up to the 3rd octet) on almost a daily basis and it takes the ASL
server a bit to catch up.
Hi all,
I have setup voicemail on our Allstar repeater e.g i can call the voicemail by doing a *69999 with 9999 being the voicemail. I can hear the voicemail menu but none of my dtmf commands are accepted.. I thought that if i used the dtmf transmit comand it may work but it still does not work...
Any ideas on how to pass dtmf to the voicemail?
Good morning everyone.

I would like to thank everyone for the help i have got from this email
group.. all the reading i have done is going to turn our repeater
into a power house. 1 request i have gotton from our group is that
they would like to have a response back if the echolink node they
tried to dial is not available or didn't go through like it does on a
normal echolink box. So if John tries to call joe using the
*33xxxxxxx and lets says joe is busy or the call doesn't go through
he hits to many numbers etc.. he would get a response back on saying
node not available or failed.. did i miss something in the set
up?

also

for adding a SIP phone like my droid, instead of going through the
sip.allstar way i would like to directly connect to my box. I
have the SIP.conf set up and my phone registers but not sure what
else to set up to be able to dial to my rptr node to be able to
monitor the repeater and ...

Thanks guys..

PS.. ALLSTAR BOX project box been running solid no crashes since the
beginning 4 months ago.. Take that microsoft :)
