nodes when the VPN channel between the two locations fails, and it does
frequently, maybe once per day. DD-WRT boxes both ends for the vpn, cron to kill
-HUP the pppd process and it restarts and all is fine for a while. Unfortunately
asterisk does not seem to recover and it has to restart as well. But as long as
I keep the VPN up asterisk is happy.</FONT></DIV>

network issue is detected on an ongoing connection, or persistant, or whatever
