So you can make changes to your config files and then restart asterisk to reload. If the changes work as expected you can then svcfg. If the changes didn't work and you really screw things up you can reboot the machine and your previous configuration will be back. <div><br></div><div>In Limey Linux you restart asterisk with the command "killall asterisk". Because there a daemon that is always checking to see if asterisk is up, it will automatically restart after you kill it.</div><div><br></div><div>As a side note; with CentOS the asterisk restart command is "service asterisk restart".<br><div>
