<div dir="ltr">I think it comes down to personal preference - as some have noted, vi(m) is part of BusyBox (always there). But I always make sure I have nano installed on my systems, this is my personal preference. Heck, I use nano on my Macbook to edit system files. I like to SSH into whatever boxes I have, or go over a serial terminal, or what have you, anything other than a GUI. Once again, this is personal preference. I also do NOT run Windows. Again, personal preference.<div>
<br></div><div>In summary, if you like vi(m), be my guest. If you like nano, good on you. And if you use WinSCP, well, thats ok. It all comes down to what the operator is most comfortable with, and which is most expedient for their needs and skill set. However, I do admit, knowing how to install nano on your box and SSH or console in case you ever need it is a good thing, and that is easily achieved from asking Mr Google.</div>
