DTMF? It seems the COP are for controlling within Asterisk. I am aware of<br>

Yes, it can be done...<br>
<br>
In rpt.conf in the functions stanza, add something like:<br>
9977=cmd,/usr/bin/reboot<br>
<br>
then in the [macro] stanza, add macro like this:<br>
77 = *9977#<br>
<br>
Then a DTMF *577 will execute the *9977 command and your PC should reboot<br>
<br>
The only reason is if you want to shutdown th PC to do maintenance on it <br>
and you dont want to login to the box and do a shutdown....<br>
