                12.0pt">I have no problem running ntpd in my ACID
                servers that only have RTCMs
                interfacing with radios.  But when I use usb sound
                interfaces (URI or usb
                sound fob) then I find that ntpd causes anomalies in the
                audio.  Many
                people don't notice it but I do and anyone with a good
                ear will notice it and
                comment about the audio sounding strange and blame it on
                using a computer in
                the audio path.  <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

                  worse in slower single core
                  systems, it is still slightly present even in high end
                  quad core systems.<br>
                  But it is not present at all when using only RTCMs.<br>
