<div>Usually the interface name for wireless devices is wlan0, wlan1, etc. It
isn't so much about the version of Linux as it is the Kernel version you are
running and if it has native support for your hardware. As far as getting
wireless working once you have the appropriate driver is called a "wireless
connection manager". One that comes to mind is called wicd. Hope this helps a
bit. </div>
