<p>I really don't understand the <b><u>ignorance</u></b>
surrounding acceptance of groups.io and similar. They are like any
other re-mailer. <br>
</p>
<p>Groups I/O provides a number of delivery options this (below) is
the <b><u>Digest format</u></b> I use. You can click to reply to
the group or an individual and it goes out just like e-mail from
your mail client. <br>
</p>
<p>If you choose to receive individual e-mails, you receive an
e-mail indiscernible from any other re mailer. See example at
bottom:<br>

still have to go to the forum to interact. But at least with Discourse,
there's mailing list functionality. Just have to see how well it works
in practice.
I see this all the time, where people assume that email notifications
from a forum are as good as a mailing list. They are not, and are
nowhere near anything the same.
