Your chit chat will not disrupt us in ANY way. We encourage traffic on both networks, analog and digital. We hope to demonstrate to the analog groups the advantages of DMR and the advantages of AllStar to DMR folks. Anybody connecting to AllStar 2100 is there for the purpose of participating in the bridge.

Well I am privileged to speak with N4IRR who gave me an interesting descript of the ability to connect various technologies to our network. Soon after his brother, N4IRS signed in and again great to speak with him. I made it quite clear that I am NOT an IT guy but really like to learn and if possible digest all this being an RF guy. Hopefully our chit chat on TG2 is not disrupted to them and if it should if be, we can find another TG. For now it is refreshing to learn what is up and coming, amazing for sure. Thanks to Cort for providing the ability to connect via the C-bridge and DMR-Link.

Folks,

I’ll be setting up a connection to our “usual” TS/TGID combo for KS Statewide that will, in a bit of a roundabout way, connect us to AllStar Hub Node 2100.

There’s been a significant effort under way to use DMRlink to get into/out of AllStar, and it’s ready for real-world stress-testing. This isn’t hosted on our own DMRlink instances, but with N4IRS and N4IRR who have been co-developing DMRLink with me for a while now.

This will NOT be connected to the other networks we host routing for (unless you want it). Things connected to KS3120 will not automatically be connected to it… Though you may hear a one-sided conversation since you won’t have AllStar, but you will have any KS DMR traffic.

Please bear with us if this isn’t something you’re into, help us test it out, and if we want to keep it we can use a selective connection or an alternate TGID long-term.
