Thanks Mike!

I am planning to run everything on 1 RPi. So I am assuming that I would use 127.0.0.1 for the ip addresses??

Michael,

Sorry for the lack of comments in the file (it was taken from my Allstar node).

You should find this diagram useful: https://github.com/N4IRS/DMRGateway/blob/master/DMRGateway.pdf

ambe_audio.cfg:
_gateway                    ; IP address of DMRGateway application
_gateway_port               ; UDP port of DMRGateway listener
_remote_control_port        ; UDP command port (will be used to adjust ambe_audio.py parameters from ASL)

DMRGateway.ini:
[AMBE_AUDIO]
server and port             ; UDP address of ambe_audio.py
[USRP]
server and port             ; UDP address of USRP (asterisk server address)

rpt.conf :

rxchannel = usrp/XX.XX.XX.XX:YYYY:ZZZZ

Where XX.XX.XX.XX is the UDP address of DMRGateway application

YYYY is the transmit port (USRP ---->>>> DMRGateway)

ZZZZ is the receive port (DMRGateway ------->>>> USRP)

Hope this helps

Mike

Mike,

In your rxchannel stanza, is 192.168.1.182:34001:32001 the IP address of your RPi? is 34001 and 32001 the tx and rx ports going to the DV3000 dongle?

Also, I notice when I run help in asterisk, usrp show is there.

Here is what mine shows.

192.168.1.182:34001 txkey no  rxkey 0 read 0 write 0

Waiting on DV3000 to show up.

Last, in the rpt.conf is that the minimum or the only statements you need?

1) in /etc/asterisk/modules.conf enable usrp as

load => chan_usrp.so

2) in rpt.conf create a stanza like:

[1999]

rxchannel = usrp/192.168.1.182:34001:32001

duplex = 2

scheduler=scheduler

functions = functions-repeater

hangtime=0

authlevel = 0

Where the address and ports are configured to your network.

3) in rpt.conf add your node

[nodes]

1999 = radio@127.0.0.1:4570/1999,NONE

Now chan_usrp is ready to go.

Is the "readme.md" the documentation I should be reading for setting up DMRlink?

I've also been scanning dmrlink_SAMPLE.cfg for how to setup a parrot tg.

Thank you
