The PiDV and ThumbDV both have the same programming interface, the DVDongle has a different one and takes more buffer management as I understand it.
1: Do not know if it's possible to use the Blue Dongle. Both versions of the DV3000 will be supported. DO NOT run out and get one for D-StarGateway any time soon.
2: DMRGateway should run on Compass just fine. Compass is a modified version of Raspbian. There is no nor will there be a image for the Gateways.
3: I don't see where both vocoders would be required.

1) Will you also support the Blue Dongle? Or which version of the NWD 3000 will you use? I will have to get one.
2) Do you also think that you can port the DMR Gateway to Compass?
If you could support both the Blue Dongle and the NWD 3000 together with Allstar, it would be great.
Thanks

The plan is to reduce the number of components needed to build the gateway. ircDDBGateway, D-StarGateway and the DV3000u would be the simplest method of building a D-Star <---> AllStar Gateway.______________________________
The UDRC does add D-Star to a existing Yaesu Fusion repeater. It's a very nice product and I have a channel driver that I think will work with it. Once I either build a new kernel and headers for Compass or get the existing headers I need, I'll port AllStar to Compass.

I also have a operational DSTAR to Allstar running on a Northwest Digital UDRC connected to a DR-1X .The call sign on DSTAR is KE8EVF. I also use the old KI4LKF software running on an ACID X86 machine.
I would also like to move the function from the ACID machine to a RASPBERRY PI.
Right now the KI4LKF software talks over the intranet to the IRCDDB Gateway behind my router. This lets me talk on DSTAR via Allstar, ECHOlink, Wires-X and my local RF connections using C4FM. ITS pretty neat to be on DSTAR using a C4FM radio while talking on ALLSTAR

Either way will work. If you emulate or better yet modify Dummy Repeater and feed the PCM to USRP you are good to go.______________________________
Dummy Repeater <---> USRP ... done. Let Dummy Repeater do all the work.

Well, there are a couple of paths we can take at this point; I used to run an AllStar to D-STAR bridge on my XReflector using the blue dongle and the KI4LKF software for AllStar. I think we can do away with the AllStar module he wrote by using the same interface used for the DMRGateway within AllStar. The ideal way to go would be to emulate the G4KLX DummyRepeater module at the ircDDBGateway end.

Ken,
If you replace DMRlink with ircDDBGateway You have the "backend"
Replace DMRGateway with the yet to be written D-StarGateway.

The software exists, but cannot be run on a pi because there is no

Also development on that has long since stopped.
I appreciate what you are doing Steve, and I understand time

I just wanted express my interest in the project, and being that I
