So, if you want TG agility, use the ambe_audio remote control commands.  That is what the GUI uses.
You can either ssh into your node to issue them or use DTMF commands to do the same.

Currently I use a TG that is local to my repeater and goes out to my network of ASL repeaters.

If I really wanted to do I could change that BM TG.
