We are aggressively pursuing our first deployment of an Allstar node to be followed by a second repeater on the same repeater pair. They will be separated by about 100 miles and both repeaters face are on the face south. There is over-lapping coverage that can be mitigated some by turning the power down. The repeaters are Motorola MSF 5000’s and we originally had the GPS modules. They were stolen. I don’t have a clue on their part number but we need to sync transmit and minimize out-of-sync transmitting. No other pairs are available in Los Angeles. I assume that we will need to sync audio to some extent.

 

What are some other issues we might face and does the RTCM have services that might help? Or the configuration files?
