I have my node configured as a remote base node and when it is connected to another node, and the other node does a PLAYBACK, the remote base hears it and retransmitts it. Is that normal?

If it was actually in remote base mode it wouldn't do this...

When I do a playback from another LOCAL node, (sharing the same rpt.conf), the remote base will play the audio file over it's transmitter. I was able to solve this problem by disabling the transmitter for the duration of the script so that it does not play any of the telemetry when switching channels.

Modifying app_rpt.c  to replace "RPTENA" with "" and then recompiling asterisk did solve the issue so it won't announce anything when I re activate the transmitter.

Are you sure you need to disable the TX? I'm pretty sure none of the telemetry comes out of the remote side.

Is it possible to disable the T X E N A announcement when re enabling the transmitter? I have a script which disables the transmitter and re-enables every time that I switch channels on my remote base. It is sort of annoying that it goes throughout all links that have telemetry enabled.
