Why don't you disable it while your not in range.

I use Putty to log in remotely to disable/re-enable it.

That is what I do with my private home node where I don't have absolute physical control.

But how do I deny inbound Allstar calls? Do I just make my node private? And how does one do that? Do I just comment out the "register" statement in iax.conf?
