This is my last comment on this subject and I will let the forum get back to pertinent conversations...
It is not about being open, WE are, IRLP and Mr. Cameron is NOT. It has been this way for a number of years, and he will not change.
And alot of us do not see that changing anytime in the future. Hence alot of IRLP nodes moving over because of his restrictions. So in many minds, this is dead subject. And one of the reasons why the BYRG nodes (and we have been asked to link) are not in the Central Region Inter-tie. They are IRLP which is their choice, and that os good. But since we run allstar on our analog nodes, we cannto becuase of this rule.

So on to bigger and better things...Steve, I have the new rev up and running and will ship back to KC for the 220 system for Bob to install. Looks good.

In my mind Irlp is a dead project anytime the owners of a project limit users it becomes a worthless solution.. Basically a waist of time.. Unfortunately we have boomers caught in the crossfire that don't truly understand computers or how the technology works.. Making life easier for these individuals is a great thing regardless of anyone elses thoughts and opinions.. Like I said it's a do so at your own risk type of project.. Maybe one day the irlp guys will realize that they should have been more compatible with other VoIP solutions unfortunately I don't think this will save his company.. Hams are cheap we like to work on things with our hands and modify software to suite our needs..

Years ago Mr. Cameron TOLD WB6NIL and the developers to remove IRLP. It is a dead issue. It was removed. Stirring the pot or whipping a dead horse is waste space. It is out, over said and done. Wanting to bring up a debate that has no place is fodder to most of us. Let it go.
