It's to/from the network. Radio levels are set elsewhere (simple-tune-menu or radio-tune-menu).

I'm a bit confused.

Am I correct in saying the etxgain, and erxgain entries refer audio to/from the radio.
Or are they setting gain from the standpoint of the network?

For example, if I want to drop the level of what's coming from Echolink connections to the transmitter, I'd reduce etxgain?
And lowering erxgain would drop the level being sent to the network?
