Sorry Joel,

Nice answer, but to a question I was not asking.

The path and file you refer to is not default for acid. I believe that is a combine sound file shell script that "CAT"'s sound files and ships with the BBB app_rpt image of wa3dsp. Not that it will not work with acid. Just did not want those that did not know better spending time looking for what they will not find.

"RUNNING A SHELL SCRIPT WITH idrecording =" was kind-of the question.

I guess I should just try it as I think it works. Can't hurt anything.

Didn't reply to the group for some reason... here's a copy for all.

cd /etc/asterisk/local/

edit combine.sh with your favorite editor

change the letters and digits to what you need, but remember to watch the /letters/ and /digits/ in the path. It's pretty self explanatory once you dig into it.

In a previous post I can no longer find, there was a question and answer to something along this fact.

Using voiceid var:

idrecording =

to "run a script" in which the voice id was handled. I believe it used CMD,/xxx/xx.sh format.

Does anyone know about this with some details ?
