I would agree that a updated web-transceiver would be desirable,
That html5 ver is also java based.

While java is simple and powerful, it also presents plenty of security problems.

There are plenty of open source modifiable sip clients we could use and I would help in that project.
But I would like to see that original source to see certain things.

Sounds like an excellent idea. The Java thing is pretty much a “bag of hurt” (to quote a famous Apple guy). http://sipml5.org/ looks interesting.
