Not sure what you mean by choppy, but if the input from the internet over drives the software gains, that could happen. Have you adjusted your Echolink gains in echolink.conf?

 

I had to adjust ours as follows because incoming and outgoing seemed to be over driven. At  the suggestion of this list my first estimate was -6.0 and 0.0 respectively.

erxgain=-7.0   ;-3.0 default

etxgain=-1.0   ; 3.0 default

Anyone have any idea  why  audio from  ECHOLINK comes in choppy  i have tried to adjust everything i could think of.. I am using xipar.. I tried it on 2 different machines and both are choppy.. But audio form asterisk to  echo link seems fine..  

 

 

I see something above that says timeout rxlinger timer   but don’t know how to adjust  that if that is  even it
