I might have to look at that though the
G707 seemed like a better option IF I could make it work reliably.
How do your ID’s work? I have a
voice ID and the CWID set as the talkover. I’ve changed the polite id
time from 3 to 300000 and everywhere in between. What I’m regularly seeing
is the while someone is transmitting I hear the CWID first then the voice id
follows. Is it something with the polite id timing?

Remote Base Memory RX CTCSS
We use Motorola Syntor with an Xcat. It works quite well. More Xcat
info at http://www.wd6awp.org/xcat/index.html.
There's a Yahoo! group too.
Here's our node stanza....

rxchannel = Simpleusb/usb ; Rx audio/signalling channel
remote = xcat
civaddr = 32
functions = functions-remote
lconn = PP3=1
ldisc = PP3=0

Yaesu FT-897 or
; remote=rbi for Doug

the Icom IC-706
ioport = /dev/ttyS0 ; Specify port

iospeed = 19200
dusbabek = yes
;iobase = 0x378 ; Specify
IO port for parallel port (optional)
authlevel = 2 ; Remote base
authentication level
;; authlevel = 0 : Anyone can use it
;; authlevel = 1 : Requires log in, Waits for Tx key to ask for it
;; authlevel = 2 : Requires log in, asks for it automously

How is a remote base memory channel programed with P/L decode? For
example with this memory:
