I am in all honesty no expert with linux, still learning

I got as far as logging into ssh & am now lost how to setup dial

I've received 2 email responses which have left my head spinning

any help is greatly appreciated

I have a couple of systems running ACID.  Is there any compelling reason to
upgrade them to DIAL?  I don't have any issues with them at the moment and I
have some other things I'd rather be doing.
