Yes, The RPi2 can be used as a low cost node to run a couple of radios /
repeaters
If you want to build it, rather then a 1 size fits all image, you can
download the scripts you need from:

This list is just fine to discuss ARM based AllStar installs. There are
quite a few users here running RPi1, RPi2 and other ARM based boards. If
you would rather use a X86 board, there is a Debian alternative to Acid
on the way. From "bare metal" to fully functional node.

I also wanted to mention that I am running the Debian pi2 image using usbradio that n4irs shared the link for and I have no issues with it at all. It just works! I don't have any audio delays at all with it using the usbradio setup.

Can anyone help me understand what is going on when a node I have will not
connect to another node. The reason in the CLI is due to slow response auto
conjesting. Sometimes to get around it to keep my links up I will connect
from the opposite node.
The best I can tell is I've run traceroute from both ends and the routes
are not identical so something on the path of the node is slowing it down
in one direction. Although I'm not really sure. This happens about once a
month and I'd like to understand what is happening.

I have read the http://ohnosec.org/drupal/node/21 pages but could do with
a simple
tutorial on how to send a command to a remote node
I guess its something like
*4 <local_node> # <remote_node> *<remote_command>
This is just a guess I want to with dtmf on rf send command *51 to a remote
node while transmitting to my local RF node
can that be done and how ?

Okay sound good. just tested this but i never get a connect to the remote node.
I can do *3<remote_node> and that links up fine
but *4<remote_node> fails to connect ?
is there anything that I should add to rpt.conf

I am having a problem with one of my servers not registering.
Here is what it look like

I can icmp ping 67.215.233.178 and I can connect to it's ftp port but the
allstarlink registration fails.
This server did work in the past and nothing in any of the .conf files has
changed since it was working last.
I have rebooted everything many times while troubleshooting this. This is
an ACID install from a few years ago, last updated Nov 2013, the same as my
other 2 servers that are still working fine.
I don't really know when the problem started but I know it has been more
than a couple of days.
Can anyone suggest next steps in troubleshooting this problem?

I moved an ACID VM from VirtualBox to VMware. Now the Linux kernel fails
during boot. It fails at
Trying to resume from LABEL=SWAP-sda2
Unable to access resume device (LABEL=SWAP-sda2)
Creating root device
Mounting root filesystem
mount: count not find filesystem '/dev/root'
It appears that ACID is doing something more complex than simply mounting
the filesystems found in fstab. What is it attempting to do?
What file can I edit to point it at the right partitions? I already tried
changing /etc/fstab from LABEL=/ to /dev/sda1, and LABEL=SWAP-sda2 to
/dev/sda2, but as you see above, it is still finding the LABEL reference
somewhere.
