If you are unwilling to learn vi, you best question your ability to support the node properly.  Or you had better get node maintenance and responsibility into the hands of some that is. 

There is no reason for me to learn vi. Please see below.

In the beginning I was sloughing off learning vi, then saw the error of my ways and got to know it.  I am not the best at it, but it will save you grief.  It just plain works and is always there.

As I said before, I use Win SCP. That way I have no need for a monitor or keyboard on any of my nodes... Or the need to "suck it up" and know how to use vi as you have demanded.

So "suck it up" dude!
