I am very turned off of IRLP by the overall attitude of the "team" that seems against the spirit of Amateur Radio in my opinion. You contrast that with Allstar that is opensourced and based on a well know and supported OSS PBX software with good (positive) community support and participation, that's enough for me to be very happy.
Sent from the iRoadI used IRLP back in the day, but when I started to get flak from one of his cronies, and I was actually called a lid at one point, that's when I realized that it was time to move on and make a change towards a real open source platform which is much more advanced and has great people willing to help out.. All of the proprietary and political crap that went on on that network was enough to make one puke! Sorry, I'm just telling you how it was and the faster I got away from IRLP the better off I was. I don't miss it at all!
Lu VenclFolks will migrate to the better option naturally. I'm already seeing that sort of migration here. I can do a lot more with allstar than any of the other available options. Allstar is also actively developed. On Sat, Feb 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM, <app_rpt-users-request@lists.allstarlink.org> wrote:Send App_rpt-users mailing list submissions to

Fuck him, it's source code, and code has no politics. If people want to use
it they should be free to do so. If he wants to ban users from his network so
be it.
More users he bans the faster irlp dies. I see the irlp channel driver as
being a migration tool.
