I believe you get the 500 errors if you attempt to grab the nodes list from an IP address that's currently not registered.  I was able to grab the list from my node that's currently registered, however I got the 500 error from a node that's not even part of the network.

I would check and make sure your node is registered with the network:

asterisk -rx 'iax2 show registry'

It should look something like this:

[root@intrepid rc.d]# asterisk -rx 'iax2 show registry'

and nothing at all from nodes 3

I just rebuilt my server and can't connect to anything as I have no nodes list at all.
