Hello,

Yes, I have wired one and have it working. I use 1200 baud connection. There are some setting I had to use because the COS behaves a bit odd and I had to add a delay (rxondelay).
Also radio will not recognize CTCSS when listening via packet interface. I have not configured CTCSS at all on asterisk side. Let me now if you have.

Using a URI FOB:

usbradio.conf

hwtype=0
duplex=0
rxondelay=25            ; This will instruct the usbradio driver to ignore the COR line
                        ; for a specified number of 20mSec intervals following the release of PTT.
rxboost=0
rxctcssrelax=1
carrierfrom=usb
ctcssfrom=usb
rxdemod=speaker
txboost=1
txprelim=no
txtoctype=notone
txmixa=composite
txmixb=no
invertptt=0
; end of file

#includeifexists custom/usbradio.conf

The radio-tune-menu audio config file generated on my end are:

usbradio_tune_usb28xxx.conf

rxmixerset=800
txmixaset=30
txmixbset=500
rxvoiceadj=0.575185
rxctcssadj=0.500000
txctcssadj=200
rxsquelchadj=500

D700A interface with a URI

I wanted to play with a URI to do all the ctcss generation, and obviously audio generation.  SO I selected 9600 baud on the radio, made the configuration changes so that I was putting audio into the modulator instead of the microphone.

I set txboost on, the txaudio to composite, and txprelim on.  Then I started testing using the radio adjustment tool.  But I could never get the audio to go loud enough to make 3khz dev.

What am I doing wrong?  I'd prefer not having to use the 12v input and the 6db amp, I would think that I should be able to drive the tnc interface pin and the modulator input when in 9600 baud mode with pleanty from the URI, but I can't seem too…

Anyone else hooked one up and made it work?

Alan

btw, txboost 0 or 1 made no difference
