Ed, ya know I have had the same issue and never had time to fully investigate it. Was never a major issue for me, just a annoyance.

It seems to vary in it's delay and I was looking for other processes in memory slowing it down and found nothing and always has plenty of cpu and ram.

Nodes with dahdi driver are never a issue on the same server.

Could be some interference with cpu time-slice etc ?

But,

It seems to correspond to me when I did switch to simpleusb this year so I would say try it with usbradio if you have the additional headroom.

Perhaps I will switch back as well. It's worth noting and trying.

Been running SimleUSB on my repeater for sometime. All works well except for the variable audio delay, sometimes will hear the end of my own transmission. Know this issue has been around for awile. Someone said try USBRadio, but would think that would use even more processing and agrevate the situation.

This is running latest version of ASL on a  Raspberry Pi2.

Any input appreciated.
